Bitcoin difficulty has surpassed 127 T for the first time

On July 26, as a result of another recalculation, the difficulty of Bitcoin mining increased by only 1.07%. However, this allowed the metric to reach a record high of 127.62 TH.

Source: CloverPool. Against the backdrop of changing parameters, the network's hash rate exceeded 1 ZH/s, and the interval between blocks has decreased to almost 9 minutes.

According to Glassnode, the smoothed seven-day moving average of blockchain hash rate is at 932.2 EH/s. The metric has still not recovered to the recorded maximum of 943.4 EH/s reached on May 31.
